What a great weekend for Enzoexplore team. Arvis Iljins again shows his best and wins Latvian SUP champion title on sprint distance. In a great battle between three Baltic states strongest paddlers.
Arvis Iljins was convincing in all pre-races and in the final sprint showed excellent result and left behind Estonian paddler Madis Vitsut on the 2nd place and Lithuanian paddler Tomas Varnas on the 3nd place. As Arvis said, this was a great start for him, it gives him the confidence that he can show good results in upcoming World championship which happens in China in late October.
''The day was hot and for the first time this year I ride sprint distance 3 times in one day. This year Latvian SUP champion took a place as part of the event of Riga city festival, so there was unusually a lot of viewers and TV reporters everywhere, it made competition little bit stressful and there was many falls in the water but atmosphere was great and it was nice to see so many paddlers from different places here. This was a rely, rely good competition'', said Arvis.
